How much does a locksmith cost in Singapore?

Published ranges (The Money Bees, June 2026): HDB main door unlock S$50 to S$120; condo or landed S$80 to S$150; digital lock lockout S$60 to S$120; lock change from S$80 plus the lock; digital lock supply and install S$250 to S$1,500.

Why do locksmiths charge more than the advertised price?

Advertised starting prices usually assume a simple latch, office hours and an undamaged door. The same guide says advertised HDB unlocks of S$39 to S$50 usually end around S$80 to S$120. Agree the total before work starts.

Do locksmiths charge more at night?

Some do: published guides mention night premiums of roughly 50% to 150% at some firms, and none at others. Ask before you agree.

What if the final bill is much higher than the quote?

Do not pay an inflated amount on the spot. Get a receipt and take the dispute to CASE, the Consumers Association of Singapore.

Is Locksmith Punggol a locksmith company?
