Emergency Lockout in Punggol

Locked out of your flat, condo or house in Punggol? Send one request and a locksmith who covers Punggol calls you with a price before coming out.

Locked out right now?

Most lockouts happen in the most ordinary way: the door closes behind you, the key is inside, or the key snaps in the lock. The fix is usually quick for a locksmith with the right tools, and most doors open without damage.

In your request, say the type of home (HDB, condo or landed), the type of lock (key lock, deadbolt or digital lock), and whether anyone, a child or a pet especially, is inside. That decides how urgently the locksmith comes and what they bring. Get a free estimate →

Proud to Serve Punggol and Nearby

We take emergency lockout requests from across Punggol and North-East Singapore.

What the job covers

Non-destructive entry first

Picking or bypassing the lock without damaging the door. Drilling is a last resort, agreed with you first.

HDB main doors and gates

Main door locks and the metal gate in front of most HDB flats.

Condo and landed doors

Often more hardware and access steps, which is why published prices for these sit higher than HDB.

Broken key extraction

A key snapped inside the cylinder. Published guides put extraction at S$50 to S$100, plus any lock repair after.

Source: The Money Bees, locksmith price guide, June 2026. The same guide notes that advertised HDB unlock prices start around S$39 to S$50 but usually land at S$80 to S$120 once the locksmith arrives, and that some firms charge 50% to 150% more at night. Ask for the total, including any night rate, before work starts.

How to avoid a bad bill

  • Send a photo of the lock so the quote is real, not a teaser.
  • Get the agreed price in writing, a WhatsApp message is enough.
  • Check the company on Singapore's ACRA register and ask to see ID on arrival.
  • Ask for a receipt and avoid untraceable cash.
  • If the final bill is far above the quote, do not pay the inflated amount on the spot. You can take it to CASE, the Consumers Association of Singapore.

These steps come from the same published guide and they are what separates a S$90 lockout from a S$400 one.

How it works

1. Send the request

Where you are, the door and lock type, and how urgent it is.

2. The locksmith calls you

They ask for a photo of the lock and give you a price.

3. Agree the price

Nothing happens until you agree. Get it in writing.

4. Door opened

Non-destructive entry first. Pay the locksmith directly and ask for a receipt.

Emergency Lockout: Questions

How long does a lockout take to open?

A simple latch can take minutes. Deadbolts and high-security cylinders take longer. The locksmith can tell you once they see a photo of the lock.

Is it cheaper to break the door?

Almost never. Damage to the door or frame costs far more than a locksmith, and a forced HDB main door may need replacing.

Can a locksmith open my door if I rent?

A reputable locksmith will want to confirm you live there, for example with ID showing the address or a call to the landlord.
